ABOUT US

At first I had no idea what I was getting into, what did domestic security mean anyway. This is how it was explained to me: We are a task force meant to hunt out and eradicate those individuals who are knowingly taking part in acts that are endangering the security of the city.

I scratched my head at that one too.

So we’re going after drug dealers and purse snatchers? No, no they said, you’re thinking small leave the drug dealers and purse snatchers for Metro. You’re going after the big boys, the drug king pins, the mafia, the gun runners... I thought someone mentioned fighting terrorism? You know nut jobs blowing themselves up in the name of some god. There you go again thinking small they said, it’s all terrorism... The drugs and guns they give our kids are killing them and tearing apart their families. Our city is constantly barraged by terror every day.

Oh... I think I’m getting it, but Metro has a drug and gun division why start something new? Because, they began, Metro only puts salve on the wounds we need someone to go deep and cure the disease. As well as stopping the crazy insanos from blowing themselves up!

Damn... was all I could say. How in the hell were the five of us suppose to cover all of those areas at once. I didn’t realize it then but the seedy under belly of this city is pretty much connected. You see, if you start picking at a loose thread until you have a good grip on it and pull things will start to unravel.

The Warren will be taking a small break. Random Acts is the first comic we ever produced and somethings have come to our attention (lack of an editor!). So in an attempt to make issue 2 better we have decided to give ourselves some more time. We will not be selling issue 2 at SPACE. However Michael and I are shooting for the Pittsburgh Anthro Con in June.

SPX expo (October 12 & 13 2007)

The first public appearance of The Warren was at the Small Press Expo in Bethesda Maryland.
